First appointments at any office can make someone nervous, but we want you to be as comfortable as possible from the moment you walk through our door.
Upon arrival, you can expect us to take your recent medical history for any special considerations or conditions. You will then be examined by Dr. Boland, who will determine what condition your teeth are in and what treatment is appropriate for you. Sometimes X-rays, or additional dental work is necessary even before you begin your orthodontic treatment.
If you are ready to commit to a course of treatment, then we will begin laying the groundwork, taking X-rays, photographs, and molds of your teeth in their present condition so that we can make a more comprehensive plan of action.
We will then help you decide when to begin your orthodontic treatment. Sometimes treatment can begin that same day, other times we need to wait for further growth, loss of baby teeth, or necessary dental work. Either way, timing can be very important when starting your case, and we will do our best to minimize your time in treatment by choosing the best time to begin.
